PROJECTS
In each of the projects NAJ supported or helped develop, NAJ looked at if and how it served the public benefit, whether the project was diverse & inclusive and whether our support would have a domino effect to catalyze more opportunities in the career development of the musician(s). Activities included, but are not limited to, organizing concert series, supporting the creation of albums, co-creating musical projects, and platforms, facilitating educational programs, and advising other organizations and foundations about the jazz landscape in the Netherlands.
Collaborations
New Amsterdam Jazz believed that amplification and collaborations go hand in hand. That is why we partnered up with musicians and organizations from all over the world to foster and celebrate musical connections of different backgrounds, cultures and sounds.
Artist Residencies
New Amsterdam Jazz strove to facilitate the creativity of artists. By giving musicians the opportunity to work outside of their usual environments, we enabled the creation of new material and new connections!
